Nestled in the mountains of West Siang District in Arunachal Pradesh, Along is a beautiful town comprised of small villages. It is located near the Assam border, on the banks of two rivers; Yomgo and Sipu.

Situated at an altitude of 619 mt above sea level, the scenic beauty of the town and the calm, tranquil valleys of the mountains takes you to a neverending journey of nature.

Along is an ideal tourist destination for trekking, river rafting and hiking. The town is well known for its cane and bamboo products.

It is also know for its handloom products like shawls, jackets and bags made by the tribal people of the region.

Bomdila is a small town in Arunachal Pradesh located at a height of 2,438 mt above sea level. With its dense forests and amazing atmosphere, it certainly feels like you have stepped into a beautiful dreamland.

Tourists travel here to escape from their mundane lives and to rejuvenate themselves in the scenic surroundings. The town also attracts wildlife enthusiasts and adventure seekers as there are plenty of such fun activities here.

Itanagar the capital of Arunachal Pradesh is nestled at the foothills of Himalayas and is referred to as Mini India, as people from every corner of the nation dwell here.

There are various archeological sites in Itanagar of which the Ita Fort is a major center of tourist attraction. Other tourist spots include the Ganga Lake, Jawaharlal Nehru Mueseum, Zoological Park and the Indira Gandhi Park.

Trek enthusiasts come here as there are innumerable routes from this place to different corners of the state.

The small hamlet of Khonsa in Arunachal Pradesh is one of the lesser known hill station and is therefore left untouched by travellers. Located at an elevation of 1,215 mt above the sea level the town is nature's paradise and is often visited by nature lovers and photographers.

Though there is not much to see here, those who visit the town can relax in the tranquil environment. It is the perfect place to head to if you are looking to escape from the madness of the city and looking forward to a relaxing and rejuvenating holiday. 


Tawang, the world of mystics, is a top tourist place in the western district of Arunachal Pradesh. It is believed to have derived its name from Tawang Monastery perched on the edge of the ridge running along the western part of town.

Tawang houses a lot of sightseeing attractions that are frequented by visitors and they range from monasteries, peaks and waterfalls.

Some of the places to visit in Tawang are Tawang Monastery, the Sela Pass, Shonga-tser Lake, Gorsam Chorten, Taktsang Monastery and many more.
