Situated on the West coast, Mumbai has many tourist attractions. There are many beaches in and around the city that add to its beauty.

Among its various tourist spots, Mumbai's beaches are the popular ones. Often crowded, these beaches in Mumbai provide solace for the people.

Girgaon Chaupati Beach

Girgaon Chaupati Beach

Girgaon Chaupati is one of the popular beaches in Mumbai. People visit this beach for its beautiful view and yummy street food.
There are many vendors selling local declicacies on the beach. Thus, providing an amazing view along with mouth watering food.

It is 25 km away from the city centre and is accessible through public transport.
During Ganesh Chaturthi festival many people come to Girgaon beach to immerse the idols of Lord Ganapati.

Juhu Beach

Juhu Beach

Juhu is one of the effluent suburbs in Mumbai. Most of the elite class of Mumbai stay in this area and it is also the home for many bollywood celebrities.

In olden times, Juhu was an island and people could reach when the tides were low. In recent times, it is a popular attraction and is known as "the Beverly Hills of Bollywood"; mainly because of its elite residents.

Versova Beach

Versova Beach

Versova Beach is a continuation of Juhu beach, only separated by a creek. This amazing sea coast is located in the suburbs of Andheri.
Basically, Versova is a small village of the Kolis (fishing folk) and it is famous for the fish market. From ages, Versova has been a fish trading centre and a tourist attraction.
People go to this beach to enjoy the calm environment little away from the city of Mumbai. The magical view of sunset from this beach will be a blissful experience.

Aksa Beach

Aksa Beach

Aksa Beach is one of the best beaches of Mumbai. This famous tourist spot is in Aksa village at Malad.
Aksa beach is also one of the clean beaches of Mumbai; known for its pristine environment. However, swimming is prohibited as the tides are strong and the sands keep shifting because of the waves.

Manori Beach

Manori Beach

Manori Beach is located in Manori village at Dharavi Bhet. It is a popular weekend spot near Mumbai.
Manori village gives a feel of Goa because of its overall culture and geography. The beach has many shacks and two resorts nearby.
People usually visit this beach to get away from the bustle of the city. There are also food stands near the beach which serves different cuisine.

Marve Beach

Marve Beach

Marve Beach is located in the Western suburb of Malad. Marve beach connects with Manori and Gorai beaches.
Ferry services to Manori , the Essel World and the Water Kingdom Amusement parks are provided from Marve.
Tourism is restricted because of the Indian Naval base and the strong tidal currents.

Marine Drive

Marine Drive

Marine Drive is 4.3 km stretch of natural bay in South Mumbai.
The road links Nariman point to Babul nath and Malabar Hill.Also known as Queen's necklace because of its shape along the coast.
Marine Drive is the most famous tourist attraction in Mumbai.
