Kasauli is a hilly cantonment town located on the way from Chandigarh to Shimla. The small town is in the southwest part of Himachal Pradesh, on the lower edges of the Himalayas. It is surrounded by pine and cedar trees along with the grand Victorian era buildings constructed by the British.

By Air: Chandigarh is the closest airport to Kasauli which is at a distance of 70 km from here. The airport is well connected to all the major cities across the country. There are regular flights from Mumbai, Bengaluru and Chennai.
By Train: Kalka is the nearest railhead to Kasauli which is about 40 km away from here. There are a good number of trains which run on regular basis from Delhi, Kolkata, Mumbai, Chandigarh and Amritsar.
By Road: Kasauli is well connected by roads, with excellent road conditions. There are ample buses which ply on a regular basis from Delhi, Chandigarh and other major nearby cities.

Kasauli is a year-round destination, with the weather remaining pleasant and welcoming throughout the year. The summer months of April to June and monsoon months of July to September are the most preferred by the tourists.

1. Manki Point

This is the highest point in the region and hence has the advantage of providing a breathtaking view of the entire region. At the top there is a temple which is dedicated to Lord Hanuman. According to legend Hanuman took rest at the place while he was carrying the Sanjeevani mountain to cure Lakshman.
It is in the shape of a foot, which has a helipad and is maintained by the Indian Air Force. A perfect place for a short trek and to take a break from the everyday routine.

The brewery was set up sometime during the 1820s and is a major tourist draw in the area. It is the world's highest distillery and also one of the oldest operating distilleries for Scotch Whiskey in Asia.
It is well known for its techniques and old equipments which include copper pots which are still used. The equipments are predominately from the 19th century.
3. Upper Mall
It is the poshest area of the place, on the higher side of the town. The area is a lot more quiet and has plenty of open areas. There are bungalows which add on to the picture-perfect view of the valley and the hills. It is the best place to find one of the best heritage structures.

The Gilbert Trail is haven for nature lovers, photographers and honeymooners to a large extent. The beauty of the trail lies in the beauty of the narrow path which borders the green landscape and the hills as a backdrop. You can hear the chirping of birds in various colours at this peaceful place.
The trail provides an excellent view of the green landscape which spans a kilometre and a half. The trail is open throughout the year and grabs the visitor's attention pretty soon.

Previously an Anglican church, it was opened in the year 1853. The church is known for its Spanish and Italian stained glass which depicts Christ, Mary, St Francis and St Barnabas. Since the 1970s it has been under the Church of North India.
