North Karnataka has a fair share of tourist destinations. The most beautiful waterfalls in North Karnataka are must visit places.

The milky white water rushing down as waterfalls is a visual treat. Tucked in the hills and greenery, these enchanting waterfalls draw many tourists. Even if it's not possible to play in waterfalls, one can still enjoy the magic of nature.

Unchalli Falls

Unchalli Falls

Unchalli Falls or Lushington Falls is situated near Siddapur. Aghanashini river falls from a height of 381 ft forming the Unchalli Falls.

Due to the rush of water, Unchalli Falls has yet another name in Kannada,"Keppa Joga"; meaning deafening falls.
One can trek from Heggarne or go in vehicles up to a distance from the falls.

Better not to visit when there is a heavy rainfall, otherwise monsoon is the best time to visit Unchalli falls.

Sathodi Falls

Sathodi Falls

Sathodi Falls is one of the famous waterfalls in North Karnataka.

This beautiful falls is formed by many streams flowing through Kallaramarane Ghat. Sathodi falls is 18 km from Yellapur, and it is about 50 ft tall.

Roads at some distance near the falls are in bad condition, so it's better to be careful in this route.

Gokak Falls

Gokak Falls

Gokak Falls is formed by the Ghataprabha river in Belagavi. The waterfall looks like a mini Niagara falls due to its shape.

Just 6 km away from Gokak, this waterfall has reddish brown colour water during monsoon. A hanging bridge and an old electricity generation station are some attractions in this place.

Magod Falls

Magod Falls is one of the best waterfalls in North Canara. River Bedti leaps from about 200 m by creating the falls. 17 km away from Yellapur, Magod falls is a popular tourist spot.

Apsarakonda Falls

Apsarakonda Falls is located in a village called Apsarakonda.

Since, it is on the coastal line, there is a beach and a hill nearby.

Tourists can enjoy the nature in all these places around the falls.

Jog Falls or Gerosoppa Falls is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Karnataka.

Jog is the second-highest plunge waterfall in India. It's enthralling view attracts tourists in all seasons.

However during monsoon, Jog will be full of water and gets many travellers.

Sirimane Falls or Kigga Falls is in a village called Kigga near Sringeri.

The snow white waterfall is just amazing to watch amidst plush greenery.

Tourists can visit Sirimane falls during monsoons as the water flow will be more compared to other seasons.
