Jodhpur, the second largest city of Rajasthan, popularly known as the 'Sun City', has magnificent architecture, a 15th century royal palace-turned-museum, the Mehrangarh Fort and numerous eye-treating landscapes. The contrasting blue walls of the city houses is spectacular.

From Delhi to Jodhpur the distance is approximately 596 km. It will take nearly 9h 54min for a straight drive to Jodhpur from Delhi but you cannot afford to miss the extravagant beauty on your way. So, here is a perfect weekend getaway plan to drive from Delhi to Jodhpur.

Another way to enjoy the beauty of the majestic landscapes and culture of Rajasthan is to choose another way to reach Jodhpur. This is Delhi- Jaipur- Ajmer- Beawar- Baar- Nimaj- Bilara- Jodhpur and the distance is 596 km approximately.

Drive from Delhi where you can start your journey from Gurgaon, either from NH48 or NH248A to Sawai Madhopur. Then, travel all the way to Jodhpur via Osian.

For a perfect weekend getaway you need two consecutive days for the road trip. You can stay the night either at Sawai Madhopur or near Osian. You will see numerous forts, havelis, historical architecture, museums and what not!

However, you can skip some places and make the route little short and selective. Of course, Jaipur, Sawai Madhopur and Ossian cannot be missed!
