After more than a year-and-a-half sitting inside your home due to the COVID-19 lockdown, we are pretty sure you need a good break from working at home, eating, sleeping and repeating. While you could have taken a short break around your city or to a different state which would be less risky, there wasn't really a chance to take that long summer or a winter vacation abroad owing to the restrictions and travel bans by various countries.
However, with the situation getting better and precautions through vaccination and speedy RT-PCR tests and recovery in place, many countries have lifted their ban on travel for tourism purposes, and what can be better news than this?
Here are 8 international destinations that you can plan on travelling to post COVID-19:
1. Mauritius
Chilling at an island on the beach side with your favourite cocktail in one hand, a sun-blocking hat, your skin a bit oily with the all the sunscreen you just put on it and the coolest shades giving your eyes that coolness...well, ain't this a kind of vacation you have been looking forward to in the past years?
To make you feel even more relaxed yet excited at the same time, the wonderful island nation of East Africa, Mauritius, is finally open for your beachy-vacation. All you need is to get vaccinated, carry a negative RT-PCR test report, not more than 5-7 days old, and voila! There you are, living through your great holiday. The authorities might ask you to take the tests on arrival at Mauritius, but it isn't a big task if you have a relaxing vacation ahead. Or is it?

2. Maldives
Well, if you are still sitting with an image of Mauritius in your mind but do not want to go far away from Asia, we dare you don't let your mood down just yet! The celebrities' second home during COVID-19, Maldives, is once again open for the tourists. So, it is all dreams coming true, with us being there, making reels and vacay stories on Instagram and Snapchat, having the time of our lives.
All you need is a negative RT-PCR test and fill in a health declaration form 24 hours before boarding the flight. The form is available on Maldives' immigration portal. Well, can it be easier than this to travel right after the horrendous pandemic?

3. Costa Rica
If not the American dream, you can have a little taste of the Latin American dream way more easily in Costa Rica. With very less fatality rate throughout the pandemic, Costa Rica can prove to be the wisest choice for the travellers, given the sustainability, conservation of non-renewable resources and the management for the Covid-19 containment.
Besides, what can be better than travelling into nature's arms and away from people as much as possible during these times? Famous for its scintillating flora and fauna, volcanoes and beaches, Costa Rica is one of the most promising destinations to make your vacation one to remember.

4. Russia
If you want to experience a different world altogether in Asia itself, then hold on to your vodka glasses cause now you have Russians welcoming you to travel their country. Rich with history and culture, Russia has a thing for museums and if you are fond of them too, well, you got your match in the world's largest country!
With no restrictions for the Indians on travel to Russia, anyone vaccinated fully or not, with a negative RT-PCR report can have a holiday, planned or unplanned, in Putin's country. Quarantine in the country is subject to the development of symptoms in an individual.
