Unakoti in Tripura is an offbeat destination, which contains rock-cut carvings, murals and stone images of different mythological figures that date back to 7th to 9th century. Out of the many carvings, the central Shiva figure called Unakotiswara Kal Bhairava and the figure of Lord Ganesha are exceptionally stunning.Ashokastami Mela is a festival held every year in the month of April at Unakoti when thousands of pilgrims gather in this quaint town.
Chittorgarh Fort, Rajasthan

Being one of the biggest forts of India, Chittorgarh Fort in Rajasthan is a complex of many forts, palaces, pillars, etc., that has been declared a UNESCO World Heritage Site. Spread across a huge area of 692 acres, Chittorgarh Fort is a magnanimous structure that is believed to have been built by the Maurya rulers.The fort has witnessed rule of many powerful dynasties, such as the Delhi Sultanate, Sultans of Gujarat, Mughals, etc. The fort remains open for the visitors from 9.30 am to 5 pm everyday.
