Make the Most of Your 24 Hours in Goa!

What if you have only one day time to cover Goa? Here is a guide to cover some important attractions within 24 hours in Goa. There are many places to visit and it is definitely impossible to cover all the places in a one day trip to Goa.

Goa tourism is varied and vast, yet you can cover some prominent destinations to get the feel of this picturesque state. Beaches, churches, heritage, adventure sports, traditional cuisines, etc. are worth trying in this partying capital of India.

The capital city of Panjim or Panaji is one of the major cities and tourists can start their 24 hours trip from this place in Goa. Starting from a World Heritage Site like Basilica of Bom Jesus, people can explore a bit of everything about this wonderful place.

Tourists can either hire a taxi or two wheelers for their journey. Travelling in a taxi is much better as the driver will know the routes well and will help in saving time.

End your journey in one of the famous nightlife centres, the Tito's Lane for a memorable time.

Start your 24 hours in Goa from the Basilica of Bom Jesus Church, located in Velha Goa (Old Goa).

It was built by the Portuguese in 1605 and till today remains one of the prominent attractions in Goa. Basilica of Bom Jesus is a World Heritage Site which holds the mortal remains of St.Francis Xavier.

The interiors of the church holds the images and stories depicting the life of St. Francis Xavier. The building also contains Bom Jesus Basilica Art Gallery, visit if you're interested.

Se Cathedral is one of the heritage sites in Old Goa. It is situated near to Bascilica of Bom Jesus Church.

Visit Se Catedral de Santa Catarina which is also a Portuguese architecture. The 'Golden Bell' on the tower of Se Cathedral is one of the best in the world.

After Se Cathedral, head towards the Musueum of Christian Arts.

The Museum of Christian Art is located in the area of other monuments in Old Goa. It is one of the prominent tourist places to visit, especially to know about Goa's history and Christian heritage.

The Museum of Christian Art is situated in the Convent of St.Monica and is one of its kind is the whole of Asia.

The museum was established in 1994 to promote the Indo-Portuguese Christian Art and has good collection of antiques, images, etc.

Fontainhas is a hillside heritage area in the city of Panaji or Panjim. This place has an old world charm as the buildings and roads have the Portuguese style of architecture.

The colonial aura of this place should be explored by foot. One gets to see the overhanging balconies and houses painted in the green, pale yellow or blue colours.

Fontainhas is named because of a hilly area called Altinho. This heritage quarter was built in the late 18th Century and since then it retains its colonial touch.

Tourists need some time to walk around this place and definitely it is worth the time.

18th June Road in Panaji is for the shopping freaks. Tourists can enjoy shopping as well as some nice food in the restaurants.

18th June Road is named after the day when a meeting was held to finish the Portuguese rule in India.

Ritz Classic Cafe, Chicken Man, Legacy of Mumbai, Bhojan (Gujarati Cuisine), Delhi Darbar, etc. are some of the restaurants near 18th June Road.

Today it is one of the busiest streets in Goa where all the you can find variety of things to buy.

Candolim Beach

Candolim Beach is one of the popular beaches in North Goa. This stretch of the coastal line is one of the longest in Goa.

Beginning from Fort Aguada the beach merges with Calangute Beach, which is also one of the famous destinations in Goa.

If there is enough time, you can visit Fort Aguada which is an ancient sea fort. Tourists can also try adventure sports like snorkelling, fishing, etc. in Candolim Beach.

Though it is a famous one, Candolim is less crowded when compared to Calangute Beach. So, it is good to enjoy the sunset at this beach in Goa.

Tito's Lane near Calagunte Beach is the nightlife centre in Goa. It houses a number night clubs, restuarants and many events.

Cafe Mambo, The Retro Bar, Cafe La Musica, etc. are some of the places where you can also enjoy DJ music.

Tito's Lane can be your last destination for a one day trip where you can chill out and dance to some amazing beats. It is one of the must visit destinations if you're a pub hopping kind!
