The Jama Mosque is a famous mosque in the district of Thane. It comprises a huge building located in Mohagir Guftar. The history of this mosque is not available and no one knows how back in time this mosque’s construction goes to. However, the fact that a widow of Jusab Menun renovated the place during the seventies in the 20th century is well known.
The premises of the Masjid consist of a pretty lake. Just adjacent to this lake is the noted Dargah built in dedication to the memory of saint Nuribaba. An Urus held on the 10th of December each year marks the death anniversary of this saint and pulls a large crowd who visit this centre to seek blessings.
