Best time to pay a visit to Sanchi is from October to March. The religious festival of Maha Shivaratri is celebrated in February and March in Sanchi. Travelers can take pleasure in the celebrations of Chethiyagiri Vihara in the month of November.

Summer

Summer time in Sanchi is usually humid and hot. The hot season starts from March and lasts till the end of May. During the summer months, the temperature range is from 25 degree Celsius – 45 degree Celsius. When the temperature is maximum (45 degree Celsius), the weather becomes scorching hot.

Monsoon

Monsoon in Sanchi starts from June and ends in the month of September. Travellers can sometimes experience a mild shower, and at times they can receive heavy rainfall during this time.  

Winter

Sanchi experiences a pleasant weather between the months of December and February. During this time, the minimum temperature touches around 10 degree celsius and the maximum temperature is approximately 23 degree Celsius.
