The city of Nuh is located in the Mewat district of Haryana and lies on the Delhi- Alwar Highway. The town gained importance in the time of Bahadur Singh of Ghasera because of the trade in Salt which was manufactured in the neighbouring villages. There are several historical ruins around Nuh that date back to the 14th century. During the reign of Bahadur Singh of Ghasera, the town was the chief trading centre of salt.

Tourist Places In And Around Nuh

The ancient remains along with the religious sites are the chief attractions of the destination. Shaking Minarets is a fine example of ancient engineering and is among the chief attractions of Nuh. Chui Mai Pond or Tank is a testament of red sandstone with a chhatri, which has beautiful floral carvings. There is also a natural reservoir in Nallad, a village 2 km from Nuh under the Aravalli Hills.

The most interesting factor is that water keeps flowing out of this reservoir and it is located in the rocks of Aravalli Hills. There is also a Lord Shiva Temple which has a religious significance for the Hindu minority of the district. It is also claimed that Pandavas stayed there and drank the water of it during a visit in their 14 years long exile.

The best time to visit the destination is between September and November due to pleasant weather conditions.
