The Valley of Flowers, also locally known as Bhyundar Valley in Uttarakhand, will be open for tourists from June 1, 2022. Spread over an area of 87.50 sq km, the Valley of Flowers is famous for its variety of flowers and natural beauty.
Located in the high Himalayan region, flowers in Bhyundar Valley have started blooming ahead of time this year, and the assortment of flowers includes Potentilla, Wild Rose, Morya Logi, Phooliya, Primula etc.
Many miscellanea of flowers bloomed in the valley two weeks early than expected! Flowers usually start blooming here from the end of May to the first week of June. However, the reason for the early blooming of flowers in the valley is believed to be the early melting of snow in the high Himalayan region. As the snow melts in the region, new buds start coming into the flowering plants and with this, the process of flowering starts in them. However, this time there was good snowfall in winter, but due to the scorching heat, the snow has melted rapidly, due to which flowers have started blooming here before time.
The team of Nanda Devi National Park has returned after studying the changes in the valley. The team said that on the way to the valley, icebergs were broken in large numbers near Bamandhaur and Dwaripul. Here the path will be made by cutting the icebergs. And the team has confirmed to open the world-famous Valley of Flowers for tourists from June 1.
