The cruise service between Mathura and Vrindavan will soon be available. Yes! You heard it right. Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal said that holy cities, Mathura and Vrindavan will be connected with a cruise service. And to connect these both auspicious cities with a cruise, waterways on the Yamuna river will be developed.
The new service will make it easier for travelers to visit the two holy cities, which are located only about 14 km apart. It will also provide a much-needed boost in tourism for these areas. Anyways, this move comes in the wake of promoting religious tourism in the area.
The Minister specified that the tourists visiting Agra might also visit Mathura to experience cruise travel in the region. During an event recently held at Shankaracharya Ashram, Govardhan, the Minister chatted about this while replying to Shankaracharya Adhokshajanand Deo Tirth's question related to what the Union Ministry of Ports, Shipping, and Waterways was doing to promote tourism in that region.
Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal further mentioned that Gokul, Mathura, and Vrindavan would be connected via cruise for which we will develop the on the Yamuna river, and for which the Union Shipping Minister Sarbananda Sonowal further added that the meeting has been done over this scheme with the Chief Minister of Uttar Pradesh, Yogi Adityanath.
