Qatar has announced that there will be no requirement for mandatory quarantine for all foreign visitors traveling for the FIFA World Cup 2022. This move by Qatar will ease the travel and the transiting process for all international football lovers across the globe and with this, major relief comes for Indians traveling for FIFA World Cup 2022 as Qatar removes mandatory quarantine.

The gulf nation, Qatar is all ready to host the FIFA World Cup 2022 from 20th November to 18th December 2022 and as per reports, Qatar is expecting approximately 1.5 million visitors as it is going to be a massive sporting event in the next 2 months. So, here is all you need to know to travel to Qatar and witness the amazing, one and only FIFA World Cup 2022.

Qatar

- As per the measures followed in the country, a traveler has to undergo a quarantine process as soon as he or she tested positive for COVID-19 after they arrive in Qatar, even if quarantine is no longer mandatory in Qatar for people traveling to see FIFA World Cup 2022.

- Travelers visiting Qatar have to carry a negative COVID-19 PCR test certificate which is not older than 48 hours or a Rapid Antigen test certificate which is valid for 24 hours, from the scheduled flight to Qatar. Self- covid test reports will be considered invalid and are not allowed for travel purposes.

- Having the Ehteraz mobile app is mandatory for all travelers which can be activated through a local or international SIM card. Within 3 days before arrival visitors will be required to register themselves for the pre-entry online registration with the help of the website, www.ehteraz.gov.qa

Qatar

- Indian passport owners can apply for a visa-on-arrival (VoA) for Qatar, which will have validity for 30 days in total.

-Moreover, all outsiders traveling to Qatar from 1st November 2022, need to have a 'Hayya Card' to enter the country. It is also mandatory for people who are not attending the FIFA World Cup but visiting the country during the tournament period.
