Jim Corbett Travel News: Ban On Overnight Stays In Jim Corbett National Park For Tourist During the monsoon

Tourists will no longer be able to stay over in the Jim Corbett National Park. Night stay will start from November 15 after the monsoon.

Due to the monsoon weather, many zones in Jim Corbett National Park region have cancelled overnight stay options for tourists from 14 June. Tourists will no longer be able to stay over for the night in all zones including Dhikala of Jim Corbett National Park. Night stay will start from November 15 after the monsoon.

On Tuesday, Deputy Director of the park Neeraj Sharma told Corbett Park is closed for night rest from 15th June every year. Bijrani zone will also be closed on June 30. He told that in 2021-22, 2,77,389 tourists visited the park. Whereas in 2020-21, the count was low, and approximately 2,00,000 tourists had arrived.

He announced in the year 2021-2022, the park made a record profit of more than Rs. 1059 lakh. However, the night stay facility in Corbett will be made available from 15th November, post-monsoon. He also confirmed that Dhela and Jhirna zones will remain open during the rainy season.

In various zones including Dhikala of Jim Corbett National Park, the night rest option has been closed from June 14. The night rest option will begin on November 15.
