Ladnun is a tourist city located in the Nagaur District of Rajasthan. This city was earlier known as Chanderi Nagari. It is also the birthplace of the highly revered personality Acharya Tulsi who founded Anuvrata and the Jain Vishva Bharati University. The history of Ladnun goes back to the days of ' Mahabharata', the great epic. The Shishupala Kingdom described in this great epic conquered Ladnun in the 12th century. Later on, the Ladnun region became a part of Jodhpur in the 16th century.

This spiritual city is especially famous for Jain religious centres. The Digambar Jain Bara Temple is the most popular shrine of this place. This temple is more than 100 years old.
