Summer

Summer in Khajuraho is of an extreme nature. Summer spreads from April to June and soars to 47 degree Celsius during the peak days. The hot climate and the sun’s heat ensure an uncomfortable weather and a decrease in energy. Tourists are recommended to avoid visiting Khajuraho during the summer.

Monsoon

Monsoon cools the summer heat and wets the rocks of Khajuraho for three months continuously. From July to September monsoon visits Khajuraho and heavy rainfalls soak the land. The humidity rises considerably. The average monsoon rainfall recorded in Khajuraho is about 45 inches (114 cm) annually.

Winter

Winter sets in November and stays in Khajuraho till February. The typical winter season in Khajuraho is marked by warm days and cold nights. In winter, the maximum temperature rises to 32 degree Celsius during the day and falls down to a minimum of 4 degree Celsius during the nights.
