Kalhatti Falls, Kemmannugundi

While on a trip to Kemmanagundi, tourists must visit Kalahatti Falls. Kalahatti Falls, otherwise known as Kalahashti Falls or Kallathigiri Falls, plummets from the height of about 122 km. As per locals, Saint Agasthya is associated with Kalahatti Falls.

In the proximity of the fall, there is a Veerabhadra Shrine that belongs to the period of Vijayanagara Empire. The temple's entrance is beautifully decorated with stone statues of three elephants. During the months of March and April, a large number of pilgrims can be seen celebrating the annual fair at this temple. This annual celebration is attended by both Muslims as well as Hindus.
