How To Reach Kaziranga
Since Kaziranga is a national park, travelling here is primarily on road. It is located 225 km from Guwahati, and the best way to reach Kaziranga is on hired cabs. The other nearby towns are Tezpur and Golaghat which are well connected to other parts of the state.
Kaziranga Weather
Kaziranga is known for receiving heavy rainfall. Due to this, the national park remains closed for public for several months every year. The park experiences three distinct climates – summers, monsoons and winters.
While the summers are dry and windy, the monsoons often flood the park. Winters are pleasant and it’s the best time to visit the national park.
