Kalpetta Weather

The cool and pleasant climate of Kalpetta makes it a tourist spot of all seasons. However, the best time to visit in during the winter season during the December to February. Visit during of Monsoon and summer is not advisable.

Summer

Summer season in Kalpetta lasts from March to May. The maximum temperature during these months is about 35°C, and the minimum temperature in this region is around 27°C during summer time.

Monsoon

The region comes under the path of both the southwest and the northeast monsoon and hence monsoon season in Kalpetta is extensive. The southwest monsoon wets the land during the months of June to September. The northeast monsoon sets in October and takes leave in November. The place receives torrential rainfall during Monsoon, and travelling to Kalpetta is not recommended due to this.

Winter

Winter sets in Kalpetta during December and continues till February. The temperature range in winter is from 24°C to 10°C. At times, the temperature can even drop to 10°C. Kalpetta is one of the few places in Kerala that experiences low temperatures. Winter is the best time to visit Kalpetta.
