Jammu experiences subtropical climate throughout the year. The climate of the place remains pleasant during summers while winters are extremely freezing with heavy snowfall.

Summer

Monsoon

(June to Mid-September): The monsoon season commences from June, shortly after summers. The average rainfall in this region has been recorded at 1246 mm. During this season, visitors will have to deal with humidity levels of around 70%. The monsoon season also brings with it thick fog that shrouds the entire valley.

Winter

(Mid-November to March): The winter season in Jammu starts from mid-November and extends till the month of March. During winters Jammu experiences heavy snowfall. As a result, travellers planning to visit Jammu during winters have to deal with extremely chilly and freezing weather.
