How To Reach Dwarka
By Air: The nearest airport to Dwarka is located at a distance of approximately 145 km in Jamnagar. After reaching here, you can either hire a taxi or take a bus to reach Dwarka. Owned by Air Force of India, the Jamnagar airport has a capacity to handle 800 passengers per day and it can park a couple of airplanes.
This airport is well connected to the Mumbai Airport and flights and you can take the Air India flight which is the only flight available. There is another way of reaching through air travel.
You can take a flight to Ahmedabad which offers better connectivity and frequent flights from all over the country. After reaching Ahmedabad which is roughly 463 km, you can take a bus or taxi afterwards.
By Train: Located in the Western Railway network, Dwarka is connected to the Jamnagar railway station which is 132 km and Rajkot which is 207 km, approximately.
There are frequent trains which run on the metre gauge track from Viramgam to Okha which crosses Dwarka. You can also take the broad gauge railway from Ahmedabad to Dwarka.
By Road: The state transport offers excellent services of buses from various cities of Gujarat to Dwarka. You can take a bus from Surat, Rajkot or Ahmedabad. There are private bus operators as well who offer AC buses, sleeper buses and double decker buses.
The roads of Gujarat are beautiful and comfortable for a road trip. So, you can either book a bus or get a taxi hired. If you want you can drive your own car to reach Dwarka.

Nageshwar Jyotirling Shiva Temple
Also known as the Nagnath temple, this famous pilgrim spot dedicated to Lord Shiva is one among the 12 Jyotirlingas from the Shiva Purana. It has its religious importance and each year thousands of pilgrims come here to take the blessings from the almighty.
It is believed that the giant statue of Shivlinga in the temple is a symbol of protection from negativity and poisons. The temple is situated on the periphery of Dwarka and during Shivratri, thousands of pilgrims come here for the grand celebration.

Beyt Dwarka Island
Beyt Dwarka Island is a tiny yet beautiful island which is situated at a distance of 20 km from the town. It is said that this place was the major religious hub before Okhla.
There are some small temples around the island and for those who want to enjoy the beauty of nature, there is a white sand beach and you can also see the coral reefs.

Dwarkadheesh Temple
Popular as Jagat Temple, this is an ancient temple, which has its history from the 16th century, when it was built. It is said that Lord Krishna's grandson, King Vajranabha built this temple made up of limestone and sand.
This beautiful, five storied temple stands tall in the middle of the town and tourists love to climb the famous 56 steps of the temple. The main entrance of the temple is named Moksha Dwar and it has traces of the ancient times.

Rukmini Temple
Dedicated to the love of Lord Krishna's life, Rukmini temple is beautiful and artistic. If you are an art lover, you will be mesmerized with the old paintings of love and romance of Lord Krishna with Rukmini, from the 12th century on the walls of the temple which is located at a distance of 1.5 km from the main town on the banks of Bhagirathi river.
Swami Narayan Temple
This temple is located near the Dwarkadheesh temple. Although its architecture is new, it looks beautiful and people who love tranquility enjoy doing meditation here. There are beautiful carvings on the walls which add to the alluring charm of the architecture. There are idols of Hindu gods and goddesses in the temple and it is visited by peace lovers.
Geeta Mandir
This is a graceful temple made up of white marble. The structure of the temple is charming and refined. The temple is dedicated to Bhagavad Gita and its teachings. There are Gita quotes on the walls of the temple and it is a place where the pilgrims can stay as they offer accommodation. This temple was built by the famous Indian business tycoon Birla family in 1970.
Gopi Talav
There is an old folklore attached with this place. It is believed that during the ancient times, Bhaumasura, a demon was killed by Lord Krishna here and 16,000 princesses were freed from the demon. Located at a distance of 20 km from the main city, Gopi Talav is a beautiful pond which has sandal-like sand. Pilgrims take this sand and put tilaks on their forehead.
Gomti Ghat
According to the beliefs of the old times, river Gomti is considered as sacred as river Ganges in India. This is the place where rivers meet the ocean. Pilgrims consider it pious to take a dip in this water and each year many tourists from various parts of the country come to take a holy bath here in Gomti Ghat.
Dwarka Beach
Those who want to escape in the natural beauty of the beach and sea costs, Dwarka beach is a must-visit attraction. It is spread along the Arabian Sea and if you want to relax during sunsets, you must come here. This place is popular among both travellers as well as locals. Mostly people visit here after the evening arti of the main temple.

Sudama Setu
