By Air: The closest airport to reach Ranthambore, is the Sanganer Airport located at Jaipur, which is about 147 km from this historical town.

By Rail: The Sawai Madhopur Railway Station, located at a distance of 14 km from the town, is the nearest rail base to reach Ranthambore. The station is connected by frequent trains from various major rail routes of the country.

By Road: Ranthambore is well connected to other major cities of India via regular buses. Regular buses are available from its bus terminus, the Ranthambore Bus Junction, which is located in the heart of the town.

The Ranthambore National Park receives a major footfall and is one of the most renowned National Parks of the country that is known for the conservation of the wild cats like leopards and tigers. Ensconced by the mighty Aravalli and Vindhya hill ranges, the Ranthambore National Park is also inhabited by a wide variety of wild animals like hyenas, sambhar, jackals, deer and a lot more. With an abundance of rich natural reserve, this National Park sprawls for over an area of 300 sq km and is also home to some 260 different bird species. The Ranthambore National Park stuns you with picturesque vistas and only remains open from the months of October to May.

With sudden bouts of greenery, the valley is blessed with a plethora of flora and fauna and boasts of a pristine lake in between where the animals come to quench their thirst. History has it, that the fort was once a refuge of the great Mughal Emperor Akbar and the Mughals had gifted the fort to Maharaja of Jaipur towards the end of 17th century.
