Indian Railway Catering and Tourism Corporation (IRCTC) has introduced a great tour package for Hindu adherents to travel to prominent religious places, including the Char Dham Yatra across central India, in its 11-day tour package.
Covering Dwarikadhish Mandir and Nageshwar Jyotirlinga in Dwarika, Mahakaleshwar and Omkareshwar Jyotirlinga in Ujjain, Trimbakeshwar Jyotirlinga in Manmad and Somnath Jyotirlinga in Somnath, tour package costs Rs 18,450 and Rs 29,620 for a standard ticket and comfort category ticket person respectively.
The tour package will include three meals and a night stay in its 11 days and 10 nights journey. The booking has started and the tickets can be bought, both through offline and online mode.
Starting from October 10 to 20 from Darbhanga, the special "Swadesh Darshan Train", carries both AC and non-AC coaches, suitable for travellers.
The 11-Day Tour Itinerary
- Two days stay at Ujjain from 12-14 October
- One day at Somnath on 15 October
- Two Days at Dwarika from 16-17 October
- One day in Shirdi on 18 October
- One day in Nashik on 19 October
Last month, IRCTC launched a new tourist train under the Bharat Gaurav Scheme of Indian Railways, covering prominent places associated with the life of Lord Shri Rama.
It will cover major religious cities such as Bhadrachalam, Kanchipuram, Rameshwaram, Hampi, Nasik, Chitrakoot, Prayagraj, Kashi, Sitamarhi, Ayodhya, Buxar, and Janakpur.
IRCTC, under the "Dekho Apna Desh" initiative, has been bringing out religious tour packages to boost India's domestic tourism and promote cultural and religious places in the country.
