The city of Faridabad named after its founder Baba Farid is the second largest city of Haryana. A fort, mosque and a tank was built by him, the ruins of which are still visible. The geographical location of Faridabad is important as it is surrounded by Delhi, Gurgaon and parts of Uttar Pradesh. It is located on the plains of the river Yamuna. It is situated 25 km away from Delhi.

Faridabad is an industrial hub and is a large producer of many industrial products.
