    Baneshwar Temple

    Baneshwar Temple is located on a river delta which is formed at the convergence of the rivers, Som and Mahi. This temple is dedicated to the Hindu deity Shiva and He is worshipped in the form of a Shivling here.

    Every year, a tribal festival is held in this temple, from Magh Shukla Ekadasi to Magh Shukla Purnima (February) of the Indian calendar. This festival is popularly known as Baneshwar Fair and has immense importance amongst the Bhil community. Tourists can enjoy glimpses into the local tribal culture during this fair.

    Rajmata Devendra Kunwar Government Museum

    Rajmata Devendra Kunwar Government Museum is an ideal place to have a glimpse at the rich past of Dungarpur. This museum has three galleries which have a rare collection of metal statues of various deities, miniature paintings, stone inscriptions and coins which date back to the 6th century.

    The first gallery gives an opportunity to see various statues belonging to the Gupta period of the Indian history. These were collected from Galiakot, Amjhara, and Baroda. The unique statues of Tantrik Ganesh, Brahmi wearing deer hide, Shiva holding a veena, Padmidi, Padmapani yaksha, Vaishnavi riding Garuda attract tourists' attention.

    While the second gallery of the museum displays a replica of the famous Qutub Minar and a Vijay Stambh made up of postal stamps, travellers can see a huge collection of inscriptions along with terracotta sculptures, oil paintings, and photographs in the third gallery.

    Galiakot is famous for the Syed Fakhruddin shrine. Syed Fakhruddin was a renowned saint who after his demise was buried in the village of Galiakot. This holy centre was constructed using white marble and stands out as a brilliant piece of architecture in the region.

    Travellers can see the intricate designs on the dome of the shrine. A large number of devotees of Dawoodi Bohra visit the shrine on the occasion of 'Urs', which is held every year on the 27th day of Muharram. Tourists can also see Vijia Mata's Temple, Vasundhara Devi Temple, and Sheetla Mata Temple in Galiakot.

    Shrinathji Temple

    Shrinathji Temple was built by Maharawal Punjraj in the year 1623. The idols of Shri Radhikaji and Goverdhan Nathji are the main attractions of this temple. Tourists can see a gallery which is located in the main temple. They can also see several medium size temples which are located in the complex of the main temple.

    Among all these temples, 16 face west, 16 face east and 4 face the north. These shrines are dedicated to Shri Banke Bihariji and Shri Ramchandraji. The three-storied hall, also known as the Goodh Mandap is a common hall for three temples located here. This hall is supported by 64 legs and 12 pillars.
