If time permits, travellers can explore Sattoddi Falls, which is counted among the most popular waterfalls of Karnataka, while journeying through Yellapur. It originates from the union of numerous unnamed streams in the vicinity of Kallaramane Ghat.
Situated at a distance of about 25 km from the Yellapur town in the Ganeshgudi forest range, Sattoddi Falls has been titled as Mini Niagara of the Uttara Kannada District. It falls from a height of 49.2 ft amidst a dense forest and ends up meeting the backwaters of Kodasalli Dam.
Some of the activities that travellers can enjoy here include picnicking, trekking, river rafting and bird watching. Tourists planning to visit this site should avoid the rainy season, while the period between November and April will be the ideal time to undertake a trip to this waterfall.
