West Garo Hills Weather
Summer
In the West Garo Hills, summers mean high humidity with climbing temperature. The maximum temperature can rise above 33 degrees Celsius making it quite hot. Due to the humidity, it becomes unbearably hot during the summers here. However, due to the South West Monsoon, the rain comes early shortening the summer months.
Monsoon
Monsoon starts from the month of June and lasts till the month of September. Tura and its adjoining places (which form the West Garo Hills) see extensive showers during the monsoon. However, the rain doesn’t decrease the humidity of the place. It is not the ideal time to visit West Garo Hills during the monsoons.
Winter
Winter sets in by December and lasts for the next two months, that is, till February. The average temperature that is recorded in the West Garo Hills is between 9 degrees Celsius and 17 degrees Celsius. The winters are thus mild and not very harsh.
