Magan Sangrahalaya, Wardha

The Magan Sangrahalaya is a museum established in Maganwadi in the village of Wardha. Inaugurated by Mahatma Gandhi himself on December 30th, 1938, it is located near the Centre of Science. The museum was developed under Aaryanayakam and Dr. J. C. Kumarappa – two renowned experts of the Gandhian economic system.

The museum was set up with the goal to spread awareness about rural industries, dairy, agriculture, etc. – paying special attention to their research and development. It also showcases various kinds of khadi, charkhas and handicrafts made by the local rural artisans, the methods that were adopted to promote the Swadeshi Movement, etc.
