On the way to India Gate - India
India Gate, situated on the Rajpath formerly the King's way, is also called the All India War Memorial and is a monument built by Edwin Lutyens to commemorate the Indian Soldiers who died in the First World War.
This Royal Road is the host for Republic Day Parade takes place on 26th January every year. On the way to India Gate one can enjoy the beautiful gardens on both sides with trees and green lawns.
As one moves through Rajpath across Raisina Hill the administrative center of India, one can find the two secretarial buildings North Block and South Block flanking the Rashtrapathi Bhavan. One can also see Sansad Marg and the Parliament House along the stretch of this wide road.
Other than these the, Rajpath is surrounded by many official buildings and museums. India Gate is situated at the eastern end of Rajpath surrounded by green lawns and trees. The Amar Jawan Jyoti, commemorating fallen soldiers is under the arch of India Gate.
