Beaches of- Andaman and Nicobar - Islands
The Andaman and Nicobar Islands are best of the Union Territory of India, located in the Bay of Bengal. They consist of two island groups, the Andaman Islands and the Nicobar Islands, Most of the islands, about 550, are in the Andamans group. Twenty six of these are inhabited. The smaller Nicobars comprise some 22 main islands of which 10 are inhabited. A sand bar joins the two island groups.
The unpolluted and safe beaches offer excellent underwater views of coral and marine life and are great for scuba diving, snorkeling, swimming, fishing and camping. The beaches are also famous for turtle nesting.
