The Sambhaji Maharaj Samadhi is situated in proximity to the Sangameshwar Temple in the village of Tulapur. The Samadhi constitutes of a grand statue of Maratha King Sambhaji Maharaj – son of the great Maratha warrior, Shivaji Maharaj.
Sambhaji was bestowed with the title of Dharam Veer – which translates to the ‘Protector of Religion’. This Samadhi was constructed post Sambhaji's death, at the hands of the Mughal ruler Aurangzeb in Tulapur.
