Located in Tarikere taluk(county) of Chikmagalur District in Karnataka, Kemmannugundi Hill Station is surrounded by the Baba Budan Giri Hills. Kemmanagundi is around 270kms from Bangalore and there are two routes which one can take to reach there. The first route is a direct one whereas the second route will take one through Chikmagalur also. One can avail buses for both these routes from Bangalore KSRTC.

It is the vantage point at Kemmangundi and one can reach there by trekking up a steep path. The view of the lush green hill is a sight to behold. Watching the sunrise from here is a certain must.

The Rose garden has a variety of roses and is maintained by the Horticultural Department of Karnataka. Visitors can enjoy the fragrance and the view of the various varieties of roses.

Shanti falls is just 2kms away from the Z Point and is known for the Shola Grasslands near it.

Mullayangiri

Mullayangiri

The Mullyangiri Range lies in the Western Ghats. Having an elevation of 1930mts above sea level it is a trekkers paradise. Trekkers can visit a Shiva Temple at its top. One can also indulge in adventure activities like road and mountain biking here.

Government run guest houses are there for visitors. One has to book beforehand for getting reservations in these guest houses. Also do not forget to try out the steamy appam and stew served here in the morning.
