There are some unexplored beaches in Goa which are stunningly beautiful, calm and peaceful and are not yet been known to the tourists. Away from the boisterous hub of Baga and Calangute is a relatively unknown side to Goa, where nature and the scenery are at its best. These secluded deserted beaches are the best kept secrets of Goa where you can just sit back and enjoy the beauty of Goa.

Unlike other busy beaches of Goa, these secret beaches do not have adequate dining and accommodation facilities. So when visiting, always remember to carry some food and water of your own. Most of these unexplored beaches are found in South Goa which are known for calmness serenity. So let us look at some of the offbeat beaches of Goa which are worth exploring.

Cabo de Rama Beach

Cabo de Rama Beach is a beautiful beach located in Margao and is not yet been discovered by tourists. The beach is secluded owning to its distance from major towns and cities and is least visited by tourists. Overlooking the beach is the Portuguese Fort called Cabo de Rama. From the fort, one can see the beautiful view of the beach. The view from the ramparts of the fort is truly breathtaking. Since the beach is located away from the township, no buses travel to this place and can only be reached by private transport.

Canaiguinim Beach

The beach is situated at a distance of 26 km from the city of Margao. It is a beautiful combination of greenery, crystal clear waters which gives it a silvery edge over the others. There are no shacks around the beach and very little sign of life besides the waves. If you are visiting South Goa, Canaiguinim Beach is worth exploring.

Butterfly Beach

Just along the coastline at Palolem Beach, lies a natural marvel called the Butterfly Island. What adds to the beauty are the dolphins surrounding the island. Normally tourists take a short boat ride up from Palolem beach to reach here. Since there is no access by road, not many people visit this beach.

Siridao Beach

For nature lovers, the quiet charm of Siridao beach will be a treasure. The beach is located few kilometers from Panaji, the capital of Goa. Here one can find shells including oysters strewn all across the coastline. Though this unexplored beach is located few kilometers from Panaji, travellers usually tend to give a miss.

Grandmothers Hole Beach

Grandmothers Hole Beach is a tiny prinstine virgin beach located near the city of Vasco which are yet to be explored by the tourists. There is not much that the beach has to offer in terms of dining or watersports. Nevertheless this unexplored beach is still a perfect picnic spot as one can enjoy the beauty and serene ambiance of the beach almost by yourself.

Cola Beach

The Cola Beach located in South Goa is less known to tourists. One can hike down over the headland to get to this quiet, picturesque cove equipped with just one rustic beach-hut. Such is its mystery that it has stayed hidden from the tourists.

Bambolim Beach, which is located 7 km from Panaji is considered one of the unexplored beaches of Goa. Since there are no major hotels or shacks, not many tourist visit this secret beach and is deserted all the year.
