An easy trek from McLeod Ganj or Dharamshala to Triund is one exciting experience. Passing through a mix of forests and hilly paths, the trail takes you through some splendid views of Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges.

Triund Hill is around 10km from Dharamshala. It is situated at the foothills of Dhauladhar Mountain Ranges. Enclosed by Kangra Valley and Dhauladhar Ranges, Triund Hill is a blessed beauty. It is also accessible from McLeod Ganj (5km).

First 5km stretch can be covered easily but the last bit may be a little tiring. After about 22 curves you will finally reach the summit. Once you reach the top, the view of imposing mountains is a mind-blowing one!. Looking for camping , they have that option as well.

Tents and a mountain lodge are the available stay options at Triund Hill. Reservations before you reach this place is a good idea. A stay in one of those tents is exhilarating and romantic. Sleeping in a tent on top of a hill with a panoramic view of the Himalayas sounds extremely fantastic. World of fantasy, want to live it? Now is your chance!

Except for winter, Triund trek is done in all seasons. The season from March to May is the best time to visit Triund with ideal weather conditions. Time from September to December is also good. Monsoons may not be an ideal time to trek but the landscapes covered in greenery is a must watch.
