Hundru Falls
Another recommended place when visiting Ranchi is the Hundru Falls. Travellers can have a relaxed time by taking a splash in the water. This beautiful waterfall is located at a distance of about 45 km from Ranchi and is an ideal place to picnic or just sit idle gazing at the beauty of the nature.

Ranchi Lake

Jagannath Temple
The Jagannath Temple is located 10 km from Ranchi and is a recommended place for travellers visiting the city. Rath yatra which is similar to that of Puri is held every year in the month of June and July. The Rath Yatra in the temple attracts thousands of devotees from all over the country.

Kanke Dam

By Air: Ranchi has an airport called The Birsa Munda Airport and travellers can visit the tourist places as taxis are easily available from the airport. The airport is located about 7 km from the city.
By Rail: Ranchi is well connected with major cities of India via rail routes and is one of the most busiest stations of the South Eastern Railways.
By Road: Goverment as well as private buses ply regularly to connect Ranchi to the other parts of Jharkhand.
