Top Three Dargahs In India To Visit This Ramzan

There are many religious places in India to worship and Dargahs are one of them. Dedicated to the most revered saints of Muslim religion; some of these places are worth a visit. It is believed that Dargahs are a great places of worship and wishes of the devotees gets fulfilled.

Come, let's take a tour around the three famous Darghas of India this Ramzan !

Piran Kaliyar Sharif Dargah - Haridwar

Known for it's amazing unity among the two religions Hindu and Muslims, this 13th century Piran Kaliyar Sharif Dargah is one of the must visit Dargahs if you are in the city of Haridwar for this Ramzan. The tomb of this Dargah is situated to the south of Haridwar city and the shrine attracts followers across the world. A grand eve called called "URS", dedicated to the saint Alauddin Ali Ahmed Sabir Kalyari. Dargah is at a distance of 20km from Haridwar city and is easily accessible.

The nearest airport is Jolly Grant, Dehradun which is at a distance of 61 km and the nearest railway station is Roorkee at a distance of 10km and by road there are several buses, rickshaws and tangas.

Khanqah-E-Molla - Srinagar

Located in the beautiful city of Srinagar and on the banks of the river Jhelum, Khanqah-E-Molla Dargah is the oldest mosques of Kashmir. This shrine was built in the year 1395 however, the entire place underwent a reconstruction in the year 1493 after a fire accident. This place is known for its beautiful wooden carvings, vibrant colors of yellow and green is painted on the walls. The rear-side of this place offers an amazing view of sunset and a Kashmiri wall painting that adds to the charm of the place.

The nearest airport is Srinagar airforce base airport which is at a distance of 10 km and the nearest railway station is Sridham and that is at a distance of 24km.

Gorippalayam Dargah - Madurai

Known for its amazing architecture, Gorippalayam Dargah is situated in the city of Madurai. The dome of this Dargah is constructed using a single rock from the Azhaga hills. The name of the Dargah signifies its linking towards the Persian language; where Gor stands for Grave. Gorippalayam Dargah has two tombs dedicated to two saints; Hazrat Khaja Syed Sultan Alauddin Badusha razi and Hazrat Khaja Syed Sulthan Shamsuddin. This place also has another tomb which is invisible and is dedicated to Gaibi Sultan.
