It is exciting to get a bird's view of a sea or a lake, isn't it? Parasailing is one such sport which allows a person to fly in the air without much risk. It is seen as a recreational sport as it can be done without training. Among various adventure sports, parasailing is one of the famous water activities in India.
Parasailing is done with the help of a parachute which is pulled by a boat or a car. The boat will have a parasail hydraulic system and a long rope that is attached to a parachute. This sport can be experienced in most seasons, except monsoon.
Parasailing is also one of the much preferred sports in Goa. Various lakes in Pune, some beaches in Maharashtra and Karnataka are also the best places to try this activity.
Types of Parasailing
There are 4 types of Parasailing:
Winchboat Parasailing - Parachute is pulled by the boat; it can be done in the beaches and lakes. It is the most popular type of Parasailing in India.
Beach Parasailing - Beach is the prime base for landing and taking off. It is also pulled by a boat but a little risky.
Platform Parasailing - Here only one person can be under the canopy and it shouldn't be performed during the high winds.
Land Parasailing - The parachute is towed by a car or a truck. It is usually done in vast open landscapes.

Land Parasailing in India
LandParasailing is a fun sport in the places like Rajasthan, Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand. In destinations like Jodhpur, Pushkar, Solang Valley, Jaipur, Bir Billing, etc. platform parasailing is done. The parachute is pulled by a car or a vehicle (usually sports car) and this is done in a vast empty landscapes.
