Who doesn't dream of a retreat to hillstation to escape from the tiring schedules of urban life? Travel to a hill station refreshes our mind and soul and provides us with the tranquillity which our soul had been yearning for! Here are some travel tips for travelling to hill stations.
Attire -
The attire should be chosen gingerly while planning for a hill station trip. Leather jackets and pull overs are a must as they 'd keep you warm and cosy. Windcheaters, mufflers and beanies can also be taken along to protect you from the frosty weather. Earmuffs , gloves, leg warmers are the other 'can haves'.
Documents -
Do carry government approved identity proofs while travelling. Keep a digital copy of the same in your mobile in case of loss or emergency! Vehicle documents are also to be carried if you are going in a private vehicle.
Trekking -
Do look out for trekking spots in the hill station which you are about to travel! Trekking or mountaineering can be a wonderful experience and is worth giving a chance. But do remember to keep a pair of trekking shoes while mountaineering. Investing time in trekking is always profitable!
Medicines -
Carry personal medication while travelling to a hill station.Medicines for cold, fever and skin rashes are to be carried. And always try to drink and eat warm water and food at hill stations.
Tea Plantations -
Most of the Indian hill stations are famous for their picturesque tea and coffee plantations. The flavour of tea and coffee for each area is unique and don't miss a chance to savour this exclusive flavour!
Picturesque spots -
Do make a list of picturesque spots in the place you are about to travel! That would help you to schedule the travel and let you not miss out on important places. Sunrise and sunset points are never to be missed out!
Other carriages -
Always carry camera to capture the astonishing places you visit so that you can relive the great moments you had later! Batteries, Chargers and Memory cards are also to be packed.
