Ooty or Ootacamund is a very popular hill station located in the Nilgiri hills of Tamil Nadu. Affectionately called the Queen of hill stations, it attracts lakhs of tourists annually to it's abode with it's marvel. Ooty has so many alluring tourist spots to it's name, from the world famous Nilgiri Mountain Railways to Botanical gardens, lakes and valleys. The place being discussed here is a far cry from it's popular hubs and there is a chance that you might have actually missed it. Situated towards the eastern side of Ooty, a 16 km ride from the main town would take you to Tiger Hill forests which would never cease to amaze you. Considered as one of the extremely captivating places in Ooty, it is well known for it's spectacular elegance and soothing presence. The stunning valleys and flourishing landscapes on the way are sure to take away your breath. If you had been looking for a place to break free, this is it!

A stroll through the forest will give you the heal you had been long waiting for! It is the perfect spot for those who seek natural tranquillity and soothing space over the hustle and bustle in the day to day urban life. The grandeur and splendour nature will surely leave you spellbound. The buoyant and bulbous clouds descending over the valley epitomize a paradise in front of your eyes. The Tiger hills is rounded with abyss and forests which has rich flora-fauna.

Atop the hill, there is a massive pool of water reservoir which is a source of drinking water supply to the city. The crystal clear pool nestled on a mountain top surrounded by thick forest cover, ducking cliffs and deep ravines is a sight to behold.

There are also legends associated with this place and an ancient cave close to this. It is believed that the place was visited by several saints of a bygone era who might have spent their lifetime in this serene and peaceful environment to eventually attain nirvana. It is a perfect spot for meditation and other recreational activities. Psilocybin mushrooms aka Magic mushrooms are spotted here.
