One Day in Mumbai!

A frenzied mass of extremes condensed into a land mass - that is Mumbai for you. Sweeping images of the high and mighty mixed with those in the sewers of grinding poverty might shock you initially but you can lose yourself to the charms of Mumbai. Grand colonial relics, seaside nothingness and markets for every conceivable thing will keep your day in Mumbai busy.

One Day in Mumbai!

Let's start our day tour from Victoria Terminus which is an outstanding example of Victorian Gothic Revival architecture. This is one of the most popular commercial spots of Mumbai. The area is known to be a paradise for shopping enthusiasts as well.

You can also visit Crawford Market which was designed by a British architect William Emerson. This is also the best place to buy some fresh fruits in Mumbai. Here are some of the shopping locations you could try if you have enough time in the city.

Have a nice lunch from any of the good restaurants here that could provide you authentic dishes from around the world. You may pick your restaurant from the list provided here.

A visit to the Oval Maidan and the High Court which was inspired by a German castle should keep you interested. Visitors are allowed inside the court, and this is worth a visit! The University of Mumbai that portrays the awe-inspiring French-Gothic architecture is yet another attraction not to be missed in the city.

An evening by the Colaba Causeway would be a great idea for those dazzling accessories you get there! You can also have a view of Gateway of India and the Taj Mahal Palace that still stands tall after the Mumbai terror attack back in 2008.

Have a sumptuous meal and if you still aren't too exhausted to wind up the day, there are clubs that could be visited for a great night in music and madness!
