Karnala is a fort city in Raigad district of Maharashtra. It is around 47 km from Mumbai and takes round about an hour to reach here. It is surrounded by forests and mount ranges on either sides. One can go trekking, visit the bird sanctuary and more here.

Karjat

Karjat is a picturesque city in the mountainous terrain of Maharashtra. It lies on the banks of the Ulhas river in the Konkan region. Around 62 km from Mumbai, one would take around 1 hr 10 mins to reach here. It has many activities which one can partake like rock climbing, trekking, rafting and more.

Matheran

Matheran

Matheran, the smallest yet popular hill station, is located in the hilly region of the Western Ghats in Maharashtra. It is just 83 km from the city and one would take around 1 hr 50 mins to drive here. Murud-Janjira is a port situated in the state of Maharashtra in the coastal village of Murud which is at a distance of 148 km it takes 3 hrs for one to travel here. One can explore the forts and nearby places here or just relax and enjoy at the beach here.

Pune

Pune or the 'City of Virtue' lies in the Western Ghats and is 162 km from Mumbai. One can visit the Agha Khan Palace or explore the fort of Sinhagad. It is a 2 hrs 50 mis drive here and is one of the weekend getaways for the people of Mumbai. Here are a few places where one can stay.
