International Kite Festival 2017 in Gujarat is something you shouldn't miss out on! The skies of Gujarat radiates in different colours during the second week of January. The festival of Uttarayan is uniquely a Gujarati phenomenon. The festival marks the days in Hindu calendar when winter paves wave to summer! During this time, the skies over most cities of the state are thronged with colourful kites from before dawn until well after dark.

International Kite Festival 2017 venue : The International Kite Festival is held in Ahmedabad. Uttarayan is celebrated across Gujarat, with major centers of kite-flying in Ahmedabad, Surat, Vadodara, Rajkot, Nadiad, among others.

Date : 8th - 14th January, 2017 at Sabarmati River Front, Ahmedabad
Timings : Celebrations start at 8 AM and continue till 5 PM
