It is a modified village where you can do many things. Come, we will take you around this exotic village where you won't stop yourself from enjoying more. Hauz Khaz Village is spread around the Hauz Khaz Fort, which was built even before the formation of New Delhi. Hauz Khas, one-of-its-kind city-village was formed by DLF in 1960. This complex developed further when the popular fashion designers started opening their boutiques in 1980. Later, in the year 1990, different restaurants began to fill up the area. Today, there are more than 40 restaurants, cafes, pubs and clubs in Hauz Khas Village.

The locality of Hauz Khaz Fort gets its name from the Urdu language. Hauz means 'Water' and Khas means 'Tank'; it means a Royal Tank. Here a big tank was commissioned by Allaudin Khaliji for the people living in Siri Fort.

Inside this fort, we can see the Royal Tank, Mosque, Neeli Masjid and Chor Minar. The Deer Park and the Rose Garden give a new look to this place. Hauz Khaz Village is divided into A,B,C,D,E,F,G,H,K,L,M,P,Q,R,X,Y,Z blocks. Among them, E Block is a famous market which forms the centre of the village. It is a visual treat to see the market at night. Enjoy your family time by visiting some good restaurants and later taste some delicious ice creams just outside the fort gate.

How to Reach Hauz Khaz Village

Haus Khaz Village is about 8km from Hazrat Nizamuddin Station in New Delhi.

If you are travelling from New Delhi Railway Station, then take a Metro Train(Yellow Line), it goes through Huda City Centre and reaches Gantavya.

By Air: Hauz Khas Village is around 11 km from Indira Gandhi International Airport.
