Well, morning till evening the old Victory Theatre in Pune is full of joy with film screenings and people. At night it is the merry-making of the ghosts! Noisy seats, creaking doors and shrill voices are said to fill the Victory Theatre. Hence, it is considered as one of the scary places in Pune.

Shall we say a repetition of history? Today Sinhagad Fort is one of the famous tourist places near Pune (40km). However, many horror stories are revolving around this age-old fort. The locals say that they hear voices like war or battlefield. They believe that it must be the soldiers who died fighting in the fort.

Another story is that of an accident which took place in the fort. Some years ago, there was a bus accident in which several small children were killed. A few tourists and villagers have reportedly heard voices of children screaming near the cliff where the accident occurred.

Shaniwar Wada, the bungalow of Peshwas is located in the city of Pune. Recently, the Bollywood film Bajirao Mastani made it even more popular. However, Shaniwar Wada is said to be haunted, and many have spoken about the paranormal activity here. Tales say that it is Peshwa Balaji Bajirao's Son Narayan Rao voice that resonates at times. He is said to have been murdered and it was his last words 'Kaka! Mala Bachav' - 'Uncle, save me' which is heard here!

Chandan Nagar

Have seen the 'Annabelle Doll' from the English film Annabelle? You might catch up with one of such doll like baby girl ghost in Chandan Nagar. The residents of this area have witnessed a small girl dressed in a white frock and strolling around at night. It is said to be the ghost of a girl who died at the construction site in that area some years ago. Chandan Nagar is considered as one of the top haunted places in Pune.

Khadki was a battleground for the 'Battle of Khadki' between the British and the Marathas. Khadki or Kirkee War Cemetry is dedicated to many war personnel who died in the world war. People believe the ghosts of the soldiers are seen in the Khadki War Cemetry. It is also one of the spooky places which you should if you are going haunted travel in Pune!
