Hampi is gearing up for the its most revered festival, Hampi Utsav 2016. This age old annual festival goes on for 3 days which depicts the era of the Vijayanagara Empire. The first thing which reminds us about this place, are the ruins of a rich city. Hampi is a famous tourist place, situated in Bellary district of Karnataka.
Hampi Utsav 2016 is scheduled from 9th-11th January. It is one of the prominent cultural festivals which takes you back in time.

The ruins of Hampi tell a story of a big and successful Vijayanagara Empire (1343 - 1565). The festival is also known as 'Vijaya Utsav'; a tradition which was followed even during the reign of Vijayanagara rulers.
