Bhimtal Lake

Let us travel to one such mythological place; that is Bhimatal. Today, Bhimtal Lake is one of the famous tourist attractions in Nainital, Uttarakhand. It is around 22km from the city of Nainital to Bhimtal. Visitors can take rented cars or taxis to reach this destination. Bhimeshwar Temple on the banks of this lake is said to be created by Bhima himself.

Another speciality is the unique Fish Museum amidst a small rocky island. In fact, many government offices have shifted to Bhimtal and tourism is improving at a good speed. Bhimtal along with two other places has become a picnic spot for the locals.
Another famous spot near Bhimtal is the Nal Damayanti Lake. It is said that the King Nala had once drowned in this lake.

Further, just 5km from Bhimtal, you will see another beautiful water body, Sattal Lake. This is also one of the popular spots in Nainital. Nature's bounty at Sattal is also a home to many bird species. It is not wrong to say that Sattal is also a photographer's delight.

Nainital is one of the famous hill stations in Uttarakhand. Its beauty and charm allures many visitors every year.
