The Driftwood Museum holds a collection of driftwood articles that are artistically made into various shapes and forms. These pieces are made of the roots and other pieces of wood that are brought to the shores by cyclones and other natural calamities, resulting in many pieces of driftwood being accumulated by the shore.

This has resulted in several items that are displayed in the museum like animals, birds, amphibians, fishes and reptiles. The museum authority takes care of these pieces and maintains them by scraping, polishing, shaping and preserving the items that are displayed in the museum.

The museum is often visited by art lovers and students who find this unique method of sculpting very interesting to study. This museum which was opened in 2001, is one of the rare attractions of the place. The museum has also gotten into the Limca Book of Records in 2010 for being the only Driftwood Museum of India.
