Sivanmalai is located about 5 km away from Kangeyam in the district of Tirupur. The deity worshipped here is Lord Murugan. The temple is very famous and attracts a great number of devotees every year for the Thaipoosam festival. The “Thearotam” or the Car Festival that happens during this time of the year lasts for three days.

The temple is located on top of a hill and can be approached by road or by climbing the 450 or so odd steps from the foot of the hill to the temple at the top. The Shasti celebrations that are celebrated here in the temple are famous. It attracts people from the places close to Kangeyam and is celebrated with great pomp and splendour.
