The best season to travel to Thoubal is after the monsoons. The monsoons clean up the beautiful terrain making everything lush green and vibrant. There are many roads in Thoubal district which are not at its best qualities and once the rainy season is over, it becomes easier to travel to these places.

Summer

Summers in Thoubal are never extreme and stays in the safe zone of 35-37 degrees Celsius. Most of the summer months here are mild making it easy to travel to the town and district. The summer months in Thoubal are from March to May, sometimes extending to June too.

Monsoon

Monsoon is the main season of Thoubal similar to the rest of the state. Perennial rainfall is a part and parcel of the monsoons here. The monsoon sets in by June and lasts till September. Travelling to Thoubal during the monsoons is not advisable. The post-monsoons are a good time to travel.

Winter

During the winters, tourists can expect the temperature to drop to freezing point too. The winter months of December to February are cold with an average temperature hovering around 0 degrees and 15 degrees Celsius while most of the time the temperature settles at 6 degrees Celsius. Warm clothes are a must for the winters here.
